Things To See In Vienna

Things To See In Rome

Once one of Europe’s great Imperial cities, Vienna still bears the hallmarks of its glory years: opulent baroque palaces, prestigious opera houses. Alot of its heritage revolve inside the Ringstrasse, the historic ring road that loops around the Old Town and Museum Quarter (MuseumsQuartier). You can easily visit the the spectacular Rathaus, or Vienna City Hall, to the Austrian Parliament Building and the Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, to the magnificent halls of the Burgtheater and the Vienna Opera House (Staatsoper). Outside of the UNESCO  World Heritage Site, is the Schonbrunn Palace (Schloss Schonbrunn), the Haburgs incredible summer palace.

Where To Stay

Where To Stay

Best Connected: Stadtpark

Stadtpark is the name of the stunning inner city park of Vienna but finding accommodation close to this will give you such ease when accessing to the city. Landstraße is on two U-Bahn lines and Wien Mitte is the main central rail station. The incredible city centre is only a short walk and this area is not only its connectibility as it has beautiful residential blocks  and elegant embassy building which make it a fantastic overall choice.

Upmarket Choice: Innere Stadt

The central 1st District, Innere Stadt, is Vienna’s old town, encircled by the grand Ringstrasse boulevard. Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral has views of Stephansplatz square from its tower. Whilst the district is quite a broad area, the beauty of Vienna is in every prestigious street and a huge reason of why this is a UNESCO Heritage World Site. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, the Spanish Riding School, the Albertina, the Opera all sit within the ringstrasse and give you a real feel of this empires heritage.

Up & Coming: Wieden

Wieden which is the 4th District in Vienna is very close to to Karlsplatz and is a more bohemian, younger district of this historic city. The Freihaus neighborhood is home to galleries, bookstores and shops run by local designers. quirky bars, cafes and eateries draw a hip urban crowd. There are still some characteristically Austrian touches such as the Belvedere Palace, Botanical Gardens and Naschmarkt to give you a little of all worlds in this area.
