Where To Stay

Best Connected: Syntagma Square
Syntagma Square is the central square of Athens named after the Constitution that Otto, the first King of Greece granted after an uprising. Syntagma Square is in the very heart of Athens and it’s the perfect central location for sightseeing. It neighbours the bustling Monastiraki area which is a flea market area in the old town of Athens, full of tourist shops selling souvenirs and Greek cuisine.
Upmarket Choice: Kolonaki
Stylish Kolonaki meaning Little Column is a hub for international labels and Greek designer boutiques with sleek concept stores and galleries. Traditionally an area where the elite of Athens used to live. Trails and a funicular railway lead to the summit of Mt. Lycabettus, with panoramic views and the Agios Georgios chapel.
Up & Coming: Monastiraki
Monastiraki Flea Market is a mix of shops selling traditional Greek items such as artisanal soaps, handmade sandals and souvenirs. The surrounding streets are full of tavernas and restaurants, many in the shadow of the famous Acropolis. Monastiraki is able to bring together traditional Greek life and delivers the multi-generational, multi class spectrum that Athenians have lived and breathed for centuries.
