Where To Stay

Best Connected: Alonso Martínez
Alonso Martínez is connected by three metro lines and is a collection of neighbourhoods which come together to create a real personality. There is much to enjoy with bars & restaurants aplenty, charming shops, street markets and the area comes alive at night with music defining this particular barrio. Where it all comes together is the Plaza de Alonso Martínez which brings the Chamberí neighbourhood to the north and Chueca to the south.

Upmarket Choice: Salamanca
Any area which has the famously named Golden Mile within its district clearly will be one of most majestic if not the most. Its easy to soak in hours of shopping for designer clothes, shoes and accessory shops, and admiring its luxury jewellery and watches. It resides very close to the biggest and best attractions in Madrid such as the Gran Via, Plaza de Cibeles and Museo Nacional del Prado. For those looking to dial down and relax El Retiro Park sits just south of the area.
Up & Coming: Arganzuela
On the banks of Madrid’s Manzanares River and former home to Atletico Madrid at the recently demolished Vicente Calderon, Arganzuela is easily accesible to the centre of the capital as well as having its own personality. There has been some huge renovations such as the Matadero Madrid, a former slaughterhouse which is now an art exhibition and cinema. Madrid Rio park is another example which includes play parks, football pitches and lots of space to walk, cycle or relax.
